Unhealthy Crawl Space
Did you know that roughly 50% of the air we breathe upstairs comes from your crawl space? If your crawl space isn't up to par, neither is your indoor air quality. Just a few things to look out for is an increase in asthma and allergy symptoms, as well as a musty smell that comes from mold and mildew.
Mold Spores
This wood is weakening due to the mold growth. If the moisture issues continue, the wood beams are sure to rot away, damaging important foundation structures.
Wooden Crawl Space Doors
Controlling what goes on in your crawl space begins with the crawl space door. Too often, a crawl space door is simply cut from a piece of plywood and secured loosely over the crawl space opening with hinges or screws. Unfortunately, this treatment allows insect and rodent pests to enter the crawl space, along with cold winter air that can make your floors frigid.
Work in Progress
Our crew first has to get rid of all the debris in the crawl space, so it can finally be healthy!
Crawl Space Encapsulation and SmartJacks
Our 20mil thick moisture barrier is now installed and ready to reduce moisture and humidity in the crawl space, as well as potentially lower energy bills! We also installed our SmartJack System to help lift the floors back to the original position. The stabilizer is made out of galvanized steel, so you never have to worry about it rotting/rusting away over time. It is also easily adjustable and cut to fit your space!
