Reliable Basement & Crawl Space Waterproofing in Gibson County, TN

This family has beem a happy customer of ours for over two years.  In 2012 they had us take a look at their wet crawlspace and sinking foundation.  We lifted their sinking slab with push piers, and insulated and encapsulated the crawlspace with CleanSpace and Delta Drainage matting, helping create a useable storage space in the previously damp crawl.  They had been very pleased with the foundaiton work and the new storage space.

So in 2014, when the other side of their slab started sinking, they knew who to call for help with the repairs.  We were able to install more push piers on the opposite side of their home, stabilizing the entire foundation.  We were even able to use our PolyLevel to lift their sinking sidewalks!  Now with their Fuondation Supportworks Push Piers, their home will be stable for years to come!

This crawlspace was already equipped with a liner when our inspector John Bradford arrived to look at the property. The homeowners mentioned seeing mold and moisture in the crawlspace. They were also forced to temporarily relocate because of severe mold allergies. Upon inspection John found mold on the home’s sub-floors and joists, many of them had high moisture contents as well. He also noted a fungus growing on the ground beneath the home. Along with visible moisture on the crawlspace’s walls which is an indication of groundwater seepage. John recommended a CleanSpace system to solve the homeowner’s troubles.

Our team of experienced professionals installed a CleanSpace system with a SuperSump, sump system and our patented SaniDry CX dehumidification system. The CleanSpace liner is a vapor barrier with a mold inhibitor woven into it. Before this is installed our technicians seal up any areas where moisture or air could penetrate the foundation walls including all vents. This is good news for homeowners, because no unconditioned outside air will enter the encapsulated space. The team also removed any sharp objects and debris from the crawlspace floor that could potentially puncture the 20 mil liner. We installed a CleanSpace drainage matting as a buffer between the liner and earth to allow water to drain naturally to the sump.

Once the liner was installed, we used our closed-cell spray foam to insure that the crawlspace is insulated and completely sealed to keep moisture out. The next step was installing a SuperSump pump with a discharge line running to the exterior. This pump includes a WaterWatch alarm to alert the owners if the pump were to fail. These wise homeowners also chose to install a SaniDry CX to insure moisture would not be a problem in their home again. The SaniDry also helps maintain a mold-free healthy airflow within the home.
