Challenge

Apart from the usual challenges that come with trying to manouver and install large products in a small, cramped, crawl space - the challenge for this family was the smell coming into the home and the related health concerns.

Solution

The solution with any water intrusion situation was to fully encapsulate to prevent mold growth and to install a Sump Pump to remove any standing water from below the house.

On the day of installation the area was receiving a tremendous amount of rain left over from Hurricane Harvey and it's journey North East. Therefore the crawl space had no less than 6 inches of water for us to contend with.

Our team did a great job to work through these conditions to ensure that this family could be set up against future rains and other moisture damage.

Before we could even get started we needed to clear the water off the ground, we did this using a electric pump to push the water into the existing drainage system.

As you can see, the water and mud were definitely working against an easy installation.

This is a prime example of an existing liner that hasn't been taped down - and how they really are not helping protect anything from water.

The finished look! After the drainage matting and CleanSpace liner has been installed you can see the immediate improvement to the overall conditions and how these products work together against any moisture.
