In Nashville, a homeowner encountered an issue with musty odors emanating from their crawl space due to elevated moisture levels and mold growth. In an effort to enhance indoor air quality, we initiated the project by installing drainage matting, facilitating water drainage, and improving ventilation. Subsequently, we applied a 20-mil thick CleanSpace liner over the matting to establish a moisture barrier, effectively reducing humidity and preventing mold formation. Following this, we implemented a Triple Safe Sump Pump to efficiently manage water, even during severe weather conditions. Furthermore, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to maintain optimal humidity levels within the crawl space. The project was concluded with the installation of a new EverLast Door crafted from 1/2-inch-thick PVC plastic, ensuring a secure seal.
We embarked on the encapsulation of a brand-new house that was still in the construction phase when we conducted a free estimate. Upon inspecting the floor plan, it became evident that this home required encapsulation to address potential moisture-related issues. Despite being a new build, the construction site had experienced rainfall, leading to the growth of mold on the floorboards. To mitigate the moisture-related issues and address the mold growth, encapsulation was deemed essential. Walls and foundation pillars were wrapped to prevent moisture intrusion. Drainage matting was installed to facilitate proper water drainage, while a 20-mil thick CleanSpace liner was laid over the drainage matting to reduce moisture and humidity. Additionally, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to maintain optimal humidity levels. This encapsulation solution provided long-lasting protection against moisture-related issues, ensuring the durability and integrity of the home. It created a dry and healthy environment, safeguarding the home against future moisture problems.
