Our team had previously worked on the latest Habitat for Humanity project in Clarksville, and this week we were back to add some closed cell spray foam to the walls and joists!
By providing this insulation the home will now see the benefits of lower energy bills when it is cold or hot, savings during weather extremes and save money on equipment maintenance as it won't be running as much.
This crawl space was encapsulated to control water pooling and the mold caused by the environment. Any moisture from the ground or the air now has a place to collect and a sump pump to push it out and away from the home.
A Clarksville Tennessee family was worried about mold, water, and wood rot. The trunk lines from the HVAC unit was creating a humidity issue for the subfloor above.
Providing an adequate drainage system, encapsulating the crawl space, and controlling the humidity provided a solution for this family.
The ground around the foundation of this home was so wet that the foundation was beginning to fail. The soil could not support the load of the home, as it settled the home was being pulled in different directions. A drainage system and push piers were the perfect permanent solution to secure the home; adding safety, value, and a longer life.
Without a drainage system for the water around this foundation the soil can not support the load. As the foundation sinks and shifts damage continues to be done. A proper drainage system to carry the water away from the foundation and push piers pushed down to the load bearing strata in the earth below are a perfect permanent solution to protect this home.
