This Clarksville family had lived in their home for 30 years and decided their crawl space needed a makeover! They were worried about the moisture in the air that was causing their wood beams to rot and bend. They were also concerned about the air they were breathing.
The air that is floating around a dirty and musty crawl space floats up to the living quarters and becomes the air we breathe every day.
They called us to solve their problems and we did exactly that!
The first step was taking out moldy insulation and cleaning out the debris.
We installed our CleanSpace Liner, CleanSpace Drainage Matting, Everlast Door, SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to help moisture stay out of the air, which will, in turn, make sure mold doesn't grow.
We installed a Supplemental Beam to help the Smart Jack lift and support the floor joists, so there would be no uneven floors above.
Moisture in Crawl Space, falling Insulation, and sagging Beams
These Tennessee homeowners were aware of how important it was to encapsulate their crawl space.. especially if the space has a dirt floor! Dirt floors are such a big problem, because they contain a lot of moisture from the ground. Which will eventually evaporate, rise, and create condensation when the warm, humid air reaches a cooler surface. And moisture and wetness in a crawl space is a BIG no-no! It causes wood beams to mold, which leads to mold spores floating around in the air..and 50% of the air that is downstairs finds its way upstairs to your living quarters.
If you're having especially awful allergies, you might want to look into how healthy the air you're breathing in is!
Our crew set them up with our vapor barrier CleanSpace Liner and CleanSpace Drainage Matting.
The CleanSpace Liner is puncture and tear resistant, and an anti-microbial agent is blended into the liner to kill mold and bacteria. The Drainage Matting creates the perfect channel for water to make its way to the designated pump.
We have a happy Tennessee family now that their crawl space is encapsulated.
This Clarksville family was not very happy when their steps began to sink. They wanted a fast, easy, and permanent solution, so they called Frontier! After our concrete specialist inspected their foundation they informed the homeowners of one of our favorite concrete repair products- PolyLevel.
PolyLevel is made out of a high-density polyurethane formula, which is injected through penny size holes that are drilled into the slab. PolyLevel is also waterproof, so you don't have to worry about it washing out.
Their steps got the lift they needed and they no longer have to worry about their porch becoming a tripping hazard!
These homeowners have lived in their 1976 home since 1996. They first noticed their porch sinking and sidewalk cracking a decade ago. Since then it has only gotten worse. They knew it was time to fix their tripping hazard and save their property's value, so they did their research and called us! Our concrete repair specialist, Eric, got to work on fixing their issues! He used NexusPro Joint Sealant on their sidewalk crack. This is a silicone-based sealant that is engineer to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. Plus, they'll never have to worry about the sealant cracking or bubbling, because it is UV ray resistant!
The family is now very happy that their cracks will not get worse and that they now have a permanent solution!
