Having an open sump pump does not prevent water vapor from entering the air and acts as a humidifier to the crawlspace. this families home was experiencing water and mold each time there was heavy rains, and needed our help to permanently fix this common crawl space issue. We installed a TripleSage Complete pump system, which includes a secondary pump and battery back up to prevent power outtages from ever causing the system to fail.
This 3 year old home in Crofton Kentucky had a terrible amount of water in the crawl space. The family was already experiencing problems with water, mold, and mildew. Not only were they worried about the health effects on them but also the structure of the home. The mold and mildew was eating away at the floor joist causing rot and compromising the stability of the home.
This home in Crofton had standing water in the crawl space. The space had a home made sump pump system but was obviously not able able to keep up.
Encapsulating the space, adding a TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and a dehumidifier have completely changed the look and health of this home.
This Paducha Kentucky home was poorly insulated. Controlling humidity and temperature was difficult and frustrating for the family.
Sealing all air leaks and properly insulating from top (attic) to bottom (crawl space) protects the home from outside temperatures and humidity.
Encapsulating the crawl space and attic helped the family regain control of their home.
The homeowners were tired of seeing their home's value decrease right in front of their eyes, so they wanted to fix every eyesore and problem wrong with the home! They called us, Frontier Basement Systems, to come and inspect their home. These cracks don't seem like a very big problem, but they are sneaky! Rainwater seeps in and under the concrete slab, softening the soil under and causing the perfect place for the heavy slabs to sink and settle in at. This is what caused the first long crack, with the promise of many more in the future if the cracks were not sealed!
Thankfully, we have the perfect products for this!
We first had to lift the sunken concrete slabs, so they were all level with each other. They injected PolyLevel foam by boring small (penny sized) holes in the slab. After the void is filled, the expanding properties of the polyurethane foam allows for an accurate lift and leveling of the slab.
Our crew then sealed all of the cracks with NexusPro Joint Sealant. NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially engineered to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, which means it won't crack, bubble or dry.
The homeowners now have a sealed and lifted patio that they no longer have to worry about being an eyesore or causing their home value to decrease.
We love helping homeowners just like these ones find the perfect products for their home.
