The homeowners had noticed problems with their recent purchase of this 90's home as soon as the first heavy rainfall came. After 5 inches of rainfall, they had issues of leaks coming from the crawl space running through an interior wall and into their garage. Now that is a problem that no one wants to have!
They knew that this problem could only lead to bigger issues, such as smelly odors and uneven floors, so they gave us a call. We decided to seal their crawl space with CleanSpace drainage matting and liner, as well as add a sump pump, so there is no leaking or flooding. We also installed the very powerful and energy efficient SaniDry dehumidifier to help with mold and mildew problems.
The family now has a permanent solution AND a healthy crawl space!
This 3 year old home in Crofton Kentucky had a terrible amount of water in the crawl space. The family was already experiencing problems with water, mold, and mildew. Not only were they worried about the health effects on them but also the structure of the home. The mold and mildew was eating away at the floor joist causing rot and compromising the stability of the home.
This home in Crofton had standing water in the crawl space. The space had a home made sump pump system but was obviously not able able to keep up.
Encapsulating the space, adding a TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and a dehumidifier have completely changed the look and health of this home.
Real estate agents in our coverage areas see a lot of homes with water issues - and they know that the best thing to do is to get the experts in to fix the problem and permanently.
In the case of this house a WaterGuard line was installed around the entire perimeter of the basement to collect water seepage, which is then draining into a new sump liner, and pumped out of the discharge line, away from the property by a Zoeller Sump Pump.
This customer from Paducah, KY called into the office and reported that they had water coming in from an area of the basement and wanted us to come check it out. After investigating we quoted 43 ft of waterguard and the Design Specialist talked to the customer about all the different options. They also explained that a vapor barrier is recommended to help direct the water to the waterguard.
We ended up installing IceGuard to prevent floods from clogged or frozen discharge lines, a TripleSafe Single pump system, a LawnScape Outlet, and a WaterGuard XL sub-floor drainage system. We also installed CleanSpace wall liner on walls 4 feet high. Now their basement is fully waterproofed, and the should not have any water intrusion issues again.
