Maintenance-Free EverLast Crawl Space Door Installed in Antioch, TN

This home in Antioch had a serious excessive moisture problem in their crawl space. It was causing their wood in their crawl space to have a level of almost 50% moisture content. At 20% it means the wood is border-line decay and at 28% or above it is accompanied by decay damage. So, this crawl space was in dire need of our help! We did a full encapsulation and also added our EverLast Crawl Space Door.

Too often, a crawl space door is simply cut from a piece of plywood and secured loosely over the crawl space opening with hinges or screws. Unfortunately, this treatment allows insect and rodent pests to enter the crawl space, along with cold winter air that can make your floors frigid.

Our EverLast Doors are made from ½-in.-thick PVC plastic that is just about indestructible. Unlike wood crawl space doors, EverLast doors will never warp, crack, shrink or require maintenance or painting. An air and water seal is certain, thanks to the heavy-duty weatherstripping that comes with each door!

We love when customers want to have the EverLast Door installed because it is the cherry on top of the encapsulation!

CleanSpace in Antioch, TN.

This crawl space was full of so much water and moisture that most of the installation had just completely fallen down.  This was creating a perfect environment for mold growth.  The only thing mold needs to grow is a little bit of moisture and some organic material.  The homeowners were overwhelmed when they saw their crawl space and contacted Frontier Basement Systems for a free inspection.  A design specialist was sent to their home to address their concerns.  Together with the homeowners it was decided that a full encapsulation of their crawl space with CleanSpace was the right solution.  CleanSpace is a 20-mil thick vapor barrier designed to keep water and moisture out of a crawl space.  That difference between the before and after are shocking!  What a huge difference.

SmartJacks in Chapel Hill

This home in Chapel Hill was built in 1930, the current home owners purchased 2 weeks ago. The inspectors report showed "rocks were holding the house up." The new owners do no plan on using the crawl space but plan to stay forever and want to have the problem fixed permanently.

The plan for this home was a steal beam for support and Smart Jacks.
