This older sump pump needed to be retired.
Part of the problem is that it was open, stagnate water is never good, but this also contributes to moisture in the air of the home.
The new TripleSafe Sump pump system is installed to house a cast iron pump sitting on a pump stand.
The previous pump sat on bricks submerged in water. The pump stand keeps allows any sediment to settle on the bottom of the liner instead clogging up the pump.
During an annual service appointment, the sump pump will be inspected and cleaned, any sediment in the bottom of the liner will also be cleaned out at that time.
Once fully installed the airtight lid is screwed into place and provides a place for a safety alarm in case of pump ever does stop functioning or water levels rise too high.
The homeowner typically loses power during big storms, so this system also has a backup battery pump, so the basement is still protected even when the power goes out.
The CleanSpace liner wraps the wall to help with moisture from the block but also for a much nicer and brighter appearance.
Electrical cords will be gathered and straightened and ran to a designated electrical outlet.
The previous owners encapsulation was initially built without a Sump Pump in 2015, we returned to install a TripleSafe Single Pump system and regrade the crawlspace drainage to direct water seepage to the new Sump system. Completeing the water management system and keeping the crawl space dry after heavy rains.

This homeowner in Nashville, TN, contacted Frontier Foundation & Crawl Space Repair to have a sump pump system installed in their basement. Our innovative TripleSafe sump pump system is designed to prevent your home's basement from flooding. This sump pump system is equipped with multiple backups so that it will be less likely to fail. This system is installed by digging out a trench along the perimeter of the basement. We then place EZ-Flow tubing into the trench. This tubing allows water to flow around the perimeter and into the lowest section of the crawl space, which is where the sump pump pit resides. After digging out the pit, we place our sump pump liner with the pumps inside and fill the space with fresh gravel. A drainage that runs out of the basement and into the yard is attached to the sump pump system. This drainage line extends out into the yards and runs flush with the ground. This allows the homeowner to tend to their yard without hitting the drain.
