This home's sidewalk and the joints were starting to crack and open.
With a little bit of poly, this sidewalk is straight and sealed.
In Tullahoma, a homeowner confronted a deteriorating concrete driveway, worsened by factors like poorly compacted soil. Our inspection unveiled weak points, revealing voids from cracks and unstable soil. To fortify the repair, we applied Nexus Pro, a premium joint sealant, preventing water infiltration.
The homeowners were tired of seeing their home's value decrease right in front of their eyes, so they wanted to fix every eyesore and problem wrong with the home! They called us, Frontier Basement Systems, to come and inspect their home. These cracks don't seem like a very big problem, but they are sneaky! Rainwater seeps in and under the concrete slab, softening the soil under and causing the perfect place for the heavy slabs to sink and settle in at. This is what caused the first long crack, with the promise of many more in the future if the cracks were not sealed!
Thankfully, we have the perfect products for this!
We first had to lift the sunken concrete slabs, so they were all level with each other. They injected PolyLevel foam by boring small (penny sized) holes in the slab. After the void is filled, the expanding properties of the polyurethane foam allows for an accurate lift and leveling of the slab.
Our crew then sealed all of the cracks with NexusPro Joint Sealant. NexusPro is a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks specially engineered to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up to harsh weather conditions. Unlike traditional polyurethane sealants, NexusPro resists UV rays, which means it won't crack, bubble or dry.
The homeowners now have a sealed and lifted patio that they no longer have to worry about being an eyesore or causing their home value to decrease.
We love helping homeowners just like these ones find the perfect products for their home.

This homeowner had extensive cracked floors in his garage which, if left unattended, could result in total replacement of the garage floor. Frontier Foundation and Crawl Space Repair recommended using NexusPro Sealant to seal up the concrete floor and protect against further water infiltration. Result? The homeowner no longer has to worry about more cracking, and can avoid replacing his concrete floor.
Concrete is strong, but it's not indestructible. If the soil it rests upon softens, shrinks or gets washed away, concrete slabs can shift, settle and crack. Plus, if you live in a colder climate, salt, chemicals and freeze-thaw cycles can play havoc with your concrete's surface.
The cracks will never get better, they will only slowly get worse over time. The cheapest and best time to fix the issue is right now.
We used PolyLevel to lift the sunken slabs and NexusPro to seal the cracks.
